Radisson Blu Carlton Hotel, Bratislava

Bratislava is a lovely city and the Radisson Carlton is an excellent place to stay. The hotel is historic and it is located so that one side overlooks one of the main pedestrians thoroughfares (Hviezdoslav Park), which include fountains, sculptures, restaurants, and ice cream shops. Our room was on that side of the building and included sights of St. Martin’s Church, the Castle, the Opera House, St. Michael’s Gate, and more. Bratislava is a very green city, where trees infuse many parts of the old town and outdoor patios are even build around the trees. You can take it all in from your window. The hotel is very elegant, with a large foyer with fresh cut flowers in the center. There was infused water in the lobby for guests, along with apples and menthol candies (which were nice for the weary traveler). The front desk was helpful at locating classic Slovak Restaurants (Flagship and Koliba Kamzík Zelená, we highly recommend both). The Savoy Restaurant is connected to the hotel and it is also where breakfast is served. The Mirror cocktail bar is also part of the hotel (and is listed as one of the top 50 cocktail bars in the world). Interesting historic photographs decorate the walls and adds to its charm. From the hotel you can walk anywhere in the old town as well as the river walk that leads to their huge modern shopping center. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the windows opened for fresh air to lovely green Bratislava. The room had a kettle with tea, instant coffee (regular and decaf were both very good), and hot cocoa. The bathroom had a tub with good water pressure. The polished black tile floors were cool. The breakfast was fantastic - fresh fish, meats, cheeses, breads, eggs. They also had a wonderful fresh blueberry smoothie and along with other juice options they had beetroot juice (its so nice when hotels are unique and have character)!! We will definitely return to Bratislava and to Radisson Blu Carlton.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and happy to help. I was made to feel welcome from the moment that I first arrived. The location is wonderful; close to the river, lots of places to eat, and the heart of the Old City. The breakfast at the Savoy Restaurant is excellent and the ambience of the room is very pleasant. I also really liked the large, firm pillow on my bed.

Great location in the heart of Bratislava. A remodeled, nice looking and perfectly clean hotel. Beautiful hotel lobby. Very nice and friendly front desk staff. Early check-in at 1 p.m. with no additional fees. Free upgrade to a Premium Room with View (#615). Nicely designed and perfectly clean big room. Big window/little balcony in my room. Nice city view. Comfortable Queen Bed. Very nice soft pillows and a comforter. Big bathroom with a large bathtub. Very good quality bathroom amenities. Fast Wi-Fi. Very comfortable high quality taxi service to the Vienna Airport for €66.

The hotel is located in the heart of the old town, so you can reach all tourist attractions by foot. The staff at the reception was professional and nice. It was a pleasure talking with them. The room was amazing. It was of a great size and with a lovely bathroom. We had complimentary water, sparkling wine as well as macaroons. And the view was perfect! It was a lovely stay and we will come back as soon as we get a chance.

Comes highly recommended. Breakfast fantastic and what a variety to suit all tastes. Staff so efficient and approachable and accommodating. Go for it😀👍
